Vivian M. Sawicki

Biographical Sketch:
As a City Council member, Mrs. Sawicki has served on a number of boards and commissions including the Boards and Commission Nominating Committee, the Beautification Commission, the Grosse Pointe-Harper Woods Futuring Committee, and the Cannabis Subcommittee of the City Council. She currently serves on the Harper Woods Ordinance Committee, and the Zoning Ordinance Steering Committee.
Mrs. Sawicki is very proud of the work she has been involved in to improve our community, notably in promoting safe and upgraded playgrounds and parks and recreation facilities; improving the city’s infrastructure in roads, sewers and sidewalks; continuing to provide excellent city services, and making decisions that move our community toward a stronger financial future.

As a Harper Woods resident and homeowner since 2009, I am honored to help lead in such a dynamic community as Harper Woods. My goal is to further assist in maintaining and improving its high standards as well as foster meaningful and mutually respectful dialogue between residents and city leaders. Together we can continue making Harper Woods a better place to live and work, attracting and welcoming new and diverse talent.
